A Community of Communities

Our Parish offers a wide range of groups and activities in which you can participate. Feel free to contact the people listed in this guide.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

RCIA is the preferred process by which the Church welcomes new adult members. Enquirers meet in a small group each week with faith companions called sponsors. They pray, read the scriptures and discuss life issues in the light of the gospel. The RCIA is principally for those preparing for baptism. However, the Rite can be adapted for those who have been baptised in other faith traditions. Candiates progress at their own pace. Reception into the Church usually takes place at the Easter Vigil where the Rite is an integral part of the liturgy.
